Brittany

Board Member

Brittany was born and raised in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people, now known as Nova Scotia. Brittany achieved a Master of Counseling Psychology Graduate Degree from Athabasca University in 2021 and is now the Manager over the Therapeutic Foster Caregiving and SAFE Home Study Reports Contracts for the entire South Region of Alberta. She enjoys making memories with her family, camping and being active outdoors. Brittany is thrilled and so honored to have been selected for nomination to the Board of Directors. She hopes to both contribute and learn, having had no experience working directly with programs for children, youth and families living in Tanzania. Brittany believes that the person and family centered approach and attachment theory lens she uses will strongly align with Sunrise of Life’s core values, particularly in support of universal rights of children.
